Torch-On Flat Roofing – Fully Insured, Guaranteed & Renovation

Alliance One Constructions Limited renovates and replaces ageing flat roofs across Alberta and British Columbia with premium torch-on membrane systems. Every job is carried out by fully insured crews and backed by a written workmanship guarantee.

Fully insured, properly covered

Roofing is hot work carried out at height, and it belongs only with a contractor who is properly covered. Our crews carry liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage, and we are happy to provide current certificates before work begins — ask and we will send them with your quote.

That protects you in two ways: you are not exposed if something goes wrong on site, and you are dealing with a contractor who is accountable and traceable rather than a cash-only crew that disappears after the deposit.

Backed by a written guarantee

Every installation is covered by a written workmanship guarantee, issued in your name when the job is signed off. Manufacturer warranties on the membrane itself run alongside it. If a problem traces back to our installation, we come back and put it right.

You get the guarantee terms in writing with your quote, before you commit to anything — not buried in small print afterwards.

Flat roof renovation and re-roofing

Most flat roofs we are called to do not need replacing because the membrane simply wore out. They need replacing because water found a way in at a detail — a drain, a curb, a parapet, a badly patched seam — and then spread underneath where nobody could see it.

A renovation puts that right properly:

  • Complete tear-off of failed membrane and saturated insulation
  • Deck inspection, with rotten or soft sections replaced
  • Drainage corrected so water actually leaves the roof
  • New vapour barrier and insulation where the build-up requires it
  • Fresh two-ply torch-on system with fully sealed laps
  • All flashings, curbs and penetrations re-detailed

Signs your flat roof needs renovation

  • Water stains, damp patches or bubbling paint on ceilings
  • Blisters, splits, ridges or open seams in the membrane
  • Ponding water still sitting on the roof 48 hours after rain
  • Gravel or granules washing into gutters and downpipes
  • Soft or spongy patches underfoot — a sign of wet insulation
  • Repeated patch repairs in the same area

If you recognise two or more of these, book an inspection before the deck itself starts to go. Replacing wet decking costs considerably more than replacing a membrane.

How a renovation runs

  1. Free inspection. We get on the roof, find where the water is actually entering, and check how far it has travelled.
  2. Written report and quote. You get an itemised price and a clear scope — including anything we recommend but you are not obliged to take.
  3. Scheduling. Work is staged so only a manageable section is open at any time, and we watch the forecast.
  4. Tear-off and deck repair. Old build-up removed, deck made sound.
  5. New torch-on system installed. Base sheet, cap sheet, and every detail re-flashed.
  6. Sign-off and guarantee. We walk the finished roof with you and issue your written guarantee.

Repairs and emergency call-outs

Not every roof needs replacing. Where the membrane still has life in it, we carry out targeted repairs — reseals, flashing replacement, drain repairs and storm damage work — and tell you honestly how much time that buys you before a full renovation makes better financial sense.
